Course logistics, communication and feedback
- Quercus: The course will be run through Quercus. All course materials, announcements, and grades will be posted there. Quercus announcements are considered to be the main source of important announcements. Quizzes and reflections will be posted on Quercus.
- Course website: denisgorodkov.com/mata22
- Crowdmark: We will use Crowdmark for processing midterms and finals.
- Piazza: We will use Piazza for discussions, questions, and answers. Please use Piazza for all course-related questions. If you have a question, it is likely that someone else has the same question. Piazza is the best way to ask questions and get answers. Check for announcements replacing Quercus.
- Padlet feedback board: We will use a Padlet board for general feedback and suggestions. Padlet board link
- Google feedback form: If you need to submit anonymous feedback exclusively to the instructor, please use this. Feedback form link.
Extracurricular materials, finds and curios
- Essence of linear algebra - YouTube: a playlist by 3blue1brown, probably the best popularizer of undergraduate and graduate level mathematics.
- Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions: a 19-th century satirical novel on creatures living in the plane. The satire is mainly targeted at social hierarchies of the Victorian era society.
